Our Story - The KNOB Life Genesis

Back in 2016, we started looking for a new tumbler for our beverages while on a lake vacation.  All we could find were boring, unimaginative containers.  So we thought….. what if a tumbler made you laugh and not only enjoy the beverage, but the moment.  Something that transported you away from the seriousness of life. 

The KNOB name was born!  The name became an acronym for the beverage inside - Kool New Optimal Beverage - and the tumbler name became a word that instantly evoked a smile, a smirk, and all kinds innuendo-ish thoughts.   From there, our playful minds took off.  But we didn’t do anything with it - Till Now! 

The KNOB - just saying the word generated so many thoughts and laughs. All these innuendos and double-entendres just rolled off our tongues.  And in the hours long drive, we had dozens of them!  And we couldn’t stop laughing!!  Plus, we didn’t once think of the crazy and serious junk in life.  We escaped and enjoyed all those hours in a fun way.  

We thought… “we bet others would love that same escape”.  But it can’t just be buying a tumbler.  Anyone can sell a drink container.  It had to a mindset that it brought to the day.  THAT was what brought the escape. 

So we made up fun product names for various types of tumblers…. And they HAD to have an innuendo description to bring the laugh and smirk. The KNOB-ism was born - the playful innuendo descriptions that made the mind disengage life and enter a fun new realm.  So KNOB-isms became the language of our new world.  

Then we started using KNOB-isms for everything. We renamed favorite beverages with KNOB-ism names and fun descriptions to go with the name.  Then it became using KNOB-isms to talk about anything in life - the tumbler, a drink, the way you hold it, talk about it, think about it, in your car, your next business meeting, your next vacation, etc. Once your mind starts, it can’t stop. THAT was what we were after.  KNOB Life was born. 

It spread to beverage tumblers, drinks, apparel, every day activities, and now adult card games where you can’t stop laughing.  All from saying one word - KNOB.
